The pharmaceutical company Roche has announced the launch of a new platform for clinical trials that is designed with the needs of patients throughout the process of their disease and that offers informative information on clinical research. Through this new tool, Patients can access scientific and up-to-date information about the clinical trials carried out by this laboratory, resolve all their doubts about them and locate the nearest centers where they are being carried out. The new web portal also has several sections in which the patient can access definitions of the most relevant medical terms and data on diseases in an informative language. “Only in 2016, we have carried out 1,500 trials worldwide. clinical trials in which 295,000 patients and 32,000 hospital centers participated. In Spain, in 2018, a total of 268 clinical trials were carried out, both promoted and supported by Roche, in which more than 20,000 patients and 216 hospitals participated together, “explains Beatriz Pérez.
